The Garden:

This is where our divine connection “goes dark” and God as we have come to know God appears to withdraw. After having a even a limited connection, this withdrawal is nearly unbearable. This is where we must remain until we are called back into the light of the Mystical Marriage. We do not conquer the dark night: the dark night shatters us, removing our illusions and ego needs.
